While completing my Masters, I designed and constructed my brother’s and sister’s wedding invitations in order to cut costs and to incorporate a personal touch. Soon after, it was time to find my own wedding invitations. Frustrated by the 350 page book of bland invitations, I wanted to create something eye catching and unique. My solution was to cover a piece of cardboard with suede fabric which would evoke the coziness of winter and to then wrap the invitation with a silky, satin ribbon in order to add a touch of glam. As they say, the rest is history. My wedding coincided with the opening of my business in February, 2008.
What I have now and what I envision for the future is now much different. I live in a historic bungalow in a quaint downtown with my husband of 1 year, Rob, our fur balls, Kramer, Gizmo and Bella and our Great Pyrenees, Dozer. (I know...we have a zoo!) The height of my stilettos is slowing falling and my business suits are starting to be replaced with my favorite jeans and fuzzy sweaters. With children in the very near future, I want nothing more than to raise my children, successfully run my business and eventually have a chic boutique that will house and display my designs.
